Spectrum Optical, PLLC Infectious Disease Protocol

Spectrum Optical, PLLC strives to encourage the continued physical health of its patients and staff.

In an effort to keep both patients and staff healthy during the midst of the Coronavirus epidemic, Spectrum Optical, PLLC is instating an Infectious Disease Protocol to curb the transmission of infectious diseases.

Employees will be required to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds upon entering the building, after any direct contact with patients, after eating, after using the restroom, and after engaging with any personal belongings.

Any individual who suspects they have been exposed to or has been diagnosed with an infectious disease must report this exposure to the Practice Manager and, when applicable, the CDC.

Spectrum Optical, PLLC reserves the right to send home any employee who displays symptoms of any infectious disease, including but not limited to, Influenza, Norovirus, and/or Coronavirus (COVID-19). These individuals must avoid returning to work until they have been symptom-free for a minimum of 24 consecutive hours. This policy will be enforced in order to avoid transmitting the disease to others.

Any patient who is suspected of carrying an infectious disease will be asked to wear a protective mask to avoid transmitting the disease to others. They may be encouraged to reschedule their appointment until such time that they are symptom-free for a minimum of 24 consecutive hours.

We thank you for your understanding during this time and encourage you to practice regular, thorough hygiene practices to protect yourself from any viral illnesses.
